About this role

We are seeking dependable, hardworking individuals to join our team in a clean, refrigerated distribution facility. This is a strictly hands-on, floor-based material handling role— no forklift operation is required or used on-site; all transport uses manual or electric pallet jacks.

Key Responsibilities

Manual Loading & Unloading:

Manually load and unload inbound and outbound shipments, freight, and pallets.

Safely maneuver product throughout the warehouse using manual and electric pallet jacks, hand trucks, and utility carts.

Order Picking & Packing:

Accurately pick cold-storage items based on pick tickets and customer order sheets.

Pack, seal, label, and stage completed cartons and pallets for outbound shipment.

Inventory Handling:

Sort, count, scan, and organize inventory within assigned cold-storage staging bays and racking.

Check orders for accuracy and immediately report any missing, damaged, or temperature-compromised goods.

General Warehouse Upkeep & 5S:

Sweep staging areas, clean packing stations, and dispose of trash and damaged wooden pallets.

Uphold 5S warehouse standards to maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace.

Safety & Teamwork:

Adhere strictly to cold-environment safety procedures and proper manual lifting techniques.

Communicate proactively with supervisors and support cross-functional teams during peak volume periods.

Requirements & Qualifications

Cold Storage Preparedness: Comfortable working continuous shifts in a cold/refrigerated warehouse environment; must dress warmly in appropriate layers (thermal wear, heavy jackets, hats, and non-slip insulated footwear).

Physical Capability: Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and walk on concrete floors for 8–12 hour shifts, with regular manual lifting and handling of 40–50+ lbs.

Equipment Notice: Zero forklift experience needed. All movement is manual or utilizes pallet jacks.

Reliability: Reliable personal transportation to meet strict early morning start times.

Experience: Previous experience in warehouse labor, order selecting, loading/unloading, or grocery/cold storage is a plus, but motivated entry-level candidates ready to work hard are welcome.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $20.00 - $22.00 Per Hour
