About our team

Welcome to Retail & Mobile and the Nordic Wallets & eCom ART, where we build and evolve Nordea’s digital payment capabilities across the Nordic markets.

In this role, you will bridge business and technology, helping Nordea prepare for one of the most significant transformations in the European payments landscape. You will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, product teams, engineers, security and compliance specialists, and relevant external participants to understand emerging requirements, assess impacts and translate strategic objectives into actionable deliveries.

You will combine deep analysis and stakeholder collaboration with modern AI-assisted ways of working. This includes using approved AI tools for requirements discovery, structured specifications, impact analysis, documentation, testing preparation and decision support.

We support strategic payment initiatives spanning digital wallets, e-commerce payments and the emerging Digital Euro ecosystem. As European institutions and market participants shape the future of digital money, our role is to help ensure that Nordea is prepared to offer secure, resilient and customer-centred payment experiences.

As an Expert Analyst, you will work across business and technology domains, turning complex regulatory, customer, operational and technical questions for Digital Euro into clear direction for decision-making and delivery.

What you will be doing

- Analyse Digital Euro requirements, frameworks and market developments, and assess their impact on Nordea’s payment landscape.

- Work with business stakeholders to understand needs, challenge assumptions, clarify priorities and define a clear delivery scope.

- Translate business objectives and regulatory requirements into structured functional requirements, specifications, user journeys, acceptance criteria and decision material.

- Facilitate workshops involving business, product management, architecture, security, compliance, operations and engineering.

- Evaluate impacts across digital wallets, e-commerce journeys, payment flows, customer channels, operational processes, data and supporting systems.

- Support roadmap planning, backlog refinement, delivery prioritisation and strategic decision-making.

- Create clear documentation and presentations for both technical and management audiences.

- Act as a trusted advisor on the Digital Euro and related payment innovations.

- Use AI-assisted analysis to accelerate research, requirement discovery, synthesis, traceability and documentation while ensuring quality, confidentiality and human accountability.

- Apply Spec-Driven Development practices so that requirements and specifications are clear, testable, traceable and suitable for implementation.

- Build and maintain high-quality business and technical context that enables effective collaboration between stakeholders, delivery teams and AI-assisted engineering tools.

- Contribute to improved AI-assisted ways of working across analysis, design, development and testing.

This role is located in Helsinki, Finland or Tricity, Poland.

Who you are

At Nordea, we value collaboration, ownership, passion and courage. These qualities are essential as we continue modernising critical payment capabilities and serving millions of customers across the Nordics and now implementing the Digital Euro solution.

To succeed in this role, we believe you:

- Passionate about payments, digital transformation and emerging financial technologies.

- Curious about how AI is changing analysis, product development and software engineering.

- Able to understand complex topics and explain them in plain, actionable language.

- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and shaping direction while requirements and market conditions are evolving.

- Self-driven, structured and able to take ownership from early analysis through implementation and production readiness.

- Strong in stakeholder management, communication and cross-functional collaboration.

- Analytical and solution-oriented, with the ability to break complex challenges into practical next steps.

- Committed to quality, evidence-based analysis, responsible AI use and continuous learning.

- Collaborative and willing to share knowledge and improve team practices.
