Lead Analyst - Record to Report

Responsibilities (List all)

· Collaborate with global stakeholders and plan and execute knowledge transfer from onshore to offshore teams.

· Design and document end-to-end Record to Report processes, procedures, controls, activity checklists and backup plans for all in-scope work.

· Lead and review daily General Ledger and Fixed Assets activities, including bank accounting, journals, reconciliations, issue management, flux reporting and stakeholder queries.

· Manage month-end activities, including journal batches, balance-sheet reconciliations, review items, Concur accounting, foreign-exchange rates, period setup and General Ledger batches.

· Review ledger and financial-system data for accuracy and support quarterly, half-yearly and annual reporting schedules.

· Maintain process dashboards and metrics, ensure timely completion of close checklists, and drive service quality through effective governance and reporting.

· Support SOX, internal and external audits and ensure compliance with Vontier accounting, regulatory, risk-management and internal-control policies.

· Maintain escalation and opportunity logs, perform root-cause analysis, define corrective and preventive actions, and track issues through closure.

· Allocate work, create team backups, set goals, conduct performance and development reviews, and maintain training plans and talent cards for the team.

· Drive process transformation, re-engineering and continuous improvement to strengthen controls, improve productivity and support strategic priorities.

Required Skills / Qualifications / Certifications / Tech Stack (List all)

Essential

· Commerce graduate, CA Inter or CWA Inter from a recognised university or institution.

· At least 8 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Financial Reporting, Accounting Reporting or Risk Reporting.

· Proven people leadership and subject matter expertise in Record to Report, General Ledger, Fixed Assets and period-close activities.

· Strong accounting concepts with knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS, internal controls, compliance, risk management and audit requirements.

· Strong analytical, investigative, communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and work across functions and regions.

Preferable

· Hands-on Workday experience, including troubleshooting and resolution of downstream integration issues.

· Experience leading finance-process migrations, knowledge transfer, service delivery and process transformation in a global environment.

· Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, and the ability to adopt and support new technology tools.
