Baltic Shared Services Center is now looking for a new colleague to join the Common IT - Service Provisioning and Activation team as a Senior Java developer.
About the role:
We are a backend team at Tele2 IT group delivering critical services for the organization. For example, we develop and maintain service fulfilment (within the OSS GSMA / eTOM domain) and are responsible for provisioning Mobile, Broadband, TV, and Logistics orders to underlying core networks and Value-Added Services. This is a centralized provisioning platform serving multiple brands across our markets.

This role is meant for You, if You:
- are an experienced Java Developer with 8+ years building robust, scalable systems and taking ownership of complex cross-functional deliveries;
- Can think, conceptualize and deliver e2e solutions using humans and AI tooling with clear business outcome eg. € revenue or cosmetic or customer happiness features.
- have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured, pragmatic approach to troubleshooting complex distributed systems;
- have demonstrated interest and hands-on experience using AI and automation tools to optimize workflows and engineering productivity;
- understand the big picture and willing to learn, ready to walk the extra mile to ensure a high-quality product;
- are open, proactive and are not afraid to take your own initiative;
- have excellent collaboration and communication skills in English;
- have solid hands-on experience with:
- Java, Spring Boot, Spring Security
- Docker, Kubernetes
- Kafka, JMS
- MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Oracle (SQL, PL/SQL)
- DevOps, CI/CD, Ansible
- Observability tools (e.g., Kibana)
- AI tooling for the SDLC (e.g., coding assistants like Codex, Claude etc) is must.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- design, develop, and maintain backend solutions that power our sales processes and streamline order fulfilment. This involves leading strategic projects, ensuring stability, and optimizing performance across the entire software development lifecycle. Your work will have a direct and measurable impact on our business;
- support day-to-day platform operations, investigate production incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and drive operational stability;
- drive technical initiatives and architecture with a focus on code quality, scalability, and performance;
- thrive in an agile environment where the team shares responsibility;
- be driven by curiosity, staying updated with the latest Java ecosystem trends;
- proactively monitor services, identify bottlenecks, and continuously improve platform health
Salary: 4000 EUR – 5000 EUR (gross)
