## JOB PURPOSE

MSC Cruises is recruiting a Senior Specialist in Cyber Security Cloud Architectures, with a primary focus on Microsoft Azure, to join its Cyber Security department. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background in cloud security and will contribute to the design, review, and continuous improvement of secure cloud architectures. The role will focus primarily on Azure platforms and workloads, while also supporting hybrid and multi-cloud initiatives, particularly those involving AWS. The Senior Specialist will work within the Cyber Security Architecture team and collaborate with Cloud Platform and Engineering teams, application teams, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to ensure that cloud solutions are secure, compliant, resilient, and aligned with the company’s security principles and reference architectures.

## KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

•    Develop a complete understanding of the company’s cloud landscape and contribute to the evolution of its Cloud Strategy, ensuring that cyber security requirements and risks are considered in cloud adoption decisions and roadmaps.
•    Design and support the implementation of cloud security architectures and controls, including landing zones, cloud networking, identity architectures, and cloud-to-cloud integrations, with a primary focus on Microsoft Azure.
•    Develop and maintain cloud security standards, architecture patterns, and implementation guidance.
•    Support the deployment of applications and services in cloud environments, ensuring alignment with security-by-design principles.
•    Support cloud migration initiatives by providing cyber security guidance, identifying security dependencies, assessing associated risks, and recommending appropriate treatments.
•    Perform security reviews of cloud architectures, services, SaaS platforms, and third-party solutions, identifying design gaps and recommending improvements.
•    Work with developers, cloud engineers, infrastructure teams, and product owners to embed security requirements into cloud solutions.
•    Define pragmatic security recommendations that balance business and technology needs with cyber security requirements.
•    Support IAM architectures and solutions for cloud and application integrations, including Microsoft Entra ID.

## QUALIFICATIONS (skills, competencies, experience)

•    A degree in computer science or engineering, cyber security, or a related qualification.
•    Italian as primary language and fluent English.
•    5-8 years' experience in security architecture/implementation roles.
•    Knowledge of and experience with the design and implementation of cloud security solutions and architectures.
•    Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure services and architectural components, cloud-native architectures, integration patterns, and hybrid connectivity.
•    Understanding of cloud security principles, IAM and Zero Trust architectures, and security considerations across hybrid and multi-cloud environments, including AWS.
•    Good understanding of cloud networking, segmentation, routing, connectivity across cloud, on-premises, and external environments.
•    Knowledge of cloud security best practices, standards, and frameworks (e.g. ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, OWASP, CSA).
•    Understanding of risk management fundamentals and their application to cyber security.
•    Experience with Infrastructure as Code and policy-as-code is considered an advantage.
•    Familiarity with cloud governance, security monitoring, and compliance requirements.
•    Familiarity with AI security and governance principles is considered a plus.
•    Adaptable and decisive individual with a collaborative mindset.
•    Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
•    Good communication skills with the ability to document technical analysis and recommendations.
•    Certifications in cloud and cyber security will be considered an advantage, such as AZ-500, SC-100, CISSP, CCSP, GCLD, and GPCS.

## WHAT WE OFFER

In compliance with the applicable pay transparency legislation, the following information is provided regarding the initial compensation foreseen for the position.
Contract 
-    Type of contract: Permanent
-    Hybrid working model: 2 days per week remotely
-    Applicable Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL): “Addetti agli uffici ed ai terminals delle società di navigazione che esercitano l’armamento privato” – sez. personale di terra
-    Gross annual salary (RAL): between €38.000 – €42.000 gross per year, paid over 14 monthly installments
-    Meal vouchers: worth €8 per on-site working day
The offer in terms of salary will be determined based on the candidate’s professional experience, technical competencies, and the level of autonomy and responsibility assigned to the role.
