JOUW OPDRACHT

- Je staat mee in voor het klinisch onderwijs in de orthopedie van het paard ten behoeve van de studenten van de eerste, tweede en derde master diergeneeskunde en levert een bijdrage aan de praktische oefeningen, inclusief deze van het skillslab.

- Je begeleidt mee masterproeven van de studenten diergeneeskunde.

- Je staat mee in voor de opleiding van de interns paard.

- Je draagt bij aan opleidingen georganiseerd binnen de Academie van de Faculteit Diergeneeskunde.

- Je draagt bij aan het klinisch wetenschappelijk onderzoek in de orthopedie van het paard.

- Je neemt actief deel aan de nacht- en weekenddiensten volgens een beurtrol.

JOUW PROFIEL

- Je bent houder van een diploma van Master in de Diergeneeskunde. Aan de diplomavoorwaarde moet voldaan zijn op datum van aanstelling.

- Voor diploma’s behaald buiten de Europese Unie dient een gelijkwaardigheidsattest van NARIC voorgelegd te worden.

- Je oefent overige beroepsactiviteiten uit en/of je hebt aantoonbare ervaring die kan bijdragen tot de kwaliteit van het klinisch onderwijs en de bijhorende dienstverlening.

- Ervaring in het begeleiden van studenten strekt tot aanbeveling.

- Je hebt interesse in klinisch wetenschappelijk en/of projectmatig onderzoek.

- Deelname aan nascholing, conferenties etc. strekt tot aanbeveling.

- De indiensttreding kan ten vroegste vanaf 1/11/2026.

YOUR TASKS

- You will assist in the clinical teaching in equine orthopedics for first-, second-, and third-year veterinary medicine master’s students and contribute to practical exercises, including those in the skills lab.

- You will help supervise master’s theses for veterinary medicine students.

- You will help oversee the training of equine interns.

- You will contribute to training programs organized within the Academy of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.

- You will contribute to clinical scientific research in equine orthopedics.

- You will actively participate in night and weekend shifts on a rotating basis.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- You hold a Master’s degree in Veterinary Medicine. You must have met the degree requirement by the date of appointment.

- For degrees obtained outside the European Union, a certificate of equivalence from NARIC must be submitted.

- You engage in other professional activities and/or have demonstrable experience that can contribute to the quality of clinical education and clinical services.

- Experience in mentoring students is preferred.

- You have an interest in clinical scientific and/or project-based research.

- Participation in continuing education, conferences, etc., is preferred.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU

- We offer you a contract of indefinite duration.

- Your contract will start on 1/11/2026 at the earliest.
