Assignment Duration: Temporary (Starts Nov 16, 2026 – active until permanent placement)
Work Schedule:
Monday – Thursday: 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
About the Opportunity
Rx relief is seeking a high-performing Outpatient Retail Staff Pharmacist to join a collaborative pharmacy team in the Sioux Center area. This position plays a vital role in maintaining seamless operations, supporting daily dispensing, and delivering high-quality patient care in an outpatient retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
Prescription Accuracy & Safety: Direct the precise and efficient dispensing of prescription medications for outpatient and community populations, ensuring full adherence to federal and state regulations.
Patient & Clinical Consultation: Serve as a trusted advisor to patients and healthcare prescribers regarding prescription therapies and OTC products.
Pharmacy Operations & Supervision: Guide and oversee pharmacy technicians through verification, preparation, and labeling processes while promoting efficient workflow.
Compliance Management: Uphold best practices within a 340B contract pharmacy environment and leverage PioneerRx software for routine pharmacy tasks.
Qualifications & Desired Skills
License: Active, unencumbered Iowa Pharmacist License (Required).
Retail Background: 2+ years of retail pharmacy experience highly preferred.
Specialized Knowledge: Prior exposure to 340B contract pharmacy operations preferred.
Software: Hands-on experience with PioneerRx pharmacy software is a major plus.
Core Competencies: Exceptional multitasking ability, strong workflow organization, and superior patient care standards.
On-Call: Occasional after-hours calls (infrequent/rare).
