General Warehouse Associate

A & Associates is currently seeking two (2) dependable, safety-conscious General Warehouse Associates to support warehouse and distribution operations in Denton, Texas.

This position is responsible for moving palletized materials, assisting with truck loading, and safely operating material handling equipment (MHE), including manual and electric pallet jacks as authorized.

The ideal candidate has previous warehouse or distribution experience, is comfortable performing physical work, and understands the importance of following workplace safety procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Move palletized warehouse materials using approved material handling equipment.
- Load trucks safely and efficiently using MHE.
- Operate manual or electric pallet jacks as trained and authorized.
- Assist with handling, transporting, and staging warehouse materials.
- Follow established warehouse safety procedures and equipment operating guidelines.
- Handle products and equipment carefully to prevent damage and workplace injuries.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers regarding assignments and safety concerns.
- Follow verbal and written instructions to complete assigned warehouse tasks.
- Comply with all applicable company, client, and workplace safety policies.
- Perform additional related warehouse duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Experience and Skills

- Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or similar industrial environment preferred.
- Familiarity with general warehouse operations and material handling equipment.
- Ability to operate a manual pallet jack and willingness to learn electric pallet jack operations.
- Ability to follow warehouse safety procedures and equipment operating instructions.
- Basic reading, writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English as required for worksite safety.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices.
- Reliable attendance, punctuality, and ability to work collaboratively.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

This position may require:

- Lifting and carrying materials weighing approximately 25–50 pounds.
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Frequent bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
- Operating manual and electric material handling equipment.
- Performing repetitive physical tasks in an active warehouse environment.
- Working around moving equipment, palletized materials, and truck-loading areas.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

- Work is performed in a warehouse and distribution environment.
- Employees may work near moving equipment, palletized materials, and loading docks.
- Adherence to all posted workplace safety procedures is required.
- Appropriate personal protective equipment
