Certification Project Engineer – Switching Devices

Our engineers work across technologies shaping the future of industry, including industrial automation, energy systems, power conversion, motor drives, robotics and intelligent industrial devices.

As a Certification Project Engineer – Switching Devices in our Neu-Isenburg team (hybrid working model), you will focus on the evaluation and certification of switching device elements, such as contactors, relays, power supplies and proximity switches.

Working directly with leading manufacturers, you will combine electrical engineering, product testing, project management and customer interaction to assess products against internationally recognized standards and support their access to global markets.

What we’re looking for:

Required:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related technical field.
• Good understanding of electrical/electronic products, industrial automation, control systems, drives or power electronics.
• Knowledge of or exposure to UL/IEC/EN 61010-2-201 and/or the UL/IEC/EN 60947 series.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and project management skills.
• Confident communicator who enjoys working directly with customers.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Fluent English.
• Willingness to travel occasionally within Europe.

Nice to have:

• 2+ years of experience in testing, certification, compliance, product development or electrical engineering.
• Experience in laboratory testing or product evaluation.
• Knowledge of CE marking, conformity assessment or international product safety standards.
• Previous experience working with customers in a technical environment.
• Dutch language skills are an advantage but not required.
