Rx relief is currently seeking two dedicated Pharmacy Technicians for an excellent opportunity just outside of Nashville, TN.
If you are looking to step away from the fast-paced retail counter and transition into a focused, low-stress environment, this closed-door specialty pharmacy role is the perfect fit. You will work behind the scenes alongside a collaborative team of pharmacists to ensure patients receive the critical specialty medications they need.
We currently have two Monday–Friday shifts available, giving you your weekends back!
Position Details
Location: Greater Nashville, TN area
Setting: Closed-Door Specialty Pharmacy (No retail customer traffic)
Compensation: $25.00 – $26.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday (No weekends)
Available Shifts:
Day Shift: 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM (1 opening)
Evening Shift: 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM (1 opening)
What You Will Do
In this role, you will be a vital support system to the pharmacy's daily operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in a highly regulated environment. Your core responsibilities will include:
Prescription Fulfillment: Accurately preparing, filling, and staging medication orders for final review by a registered pharmacist, in strict accordance with State Board of Pharmacy guidelines.
Dispensing & Shipping: Handling the careful packaging and preparation of specialty medications for outbound shipment.
Inventory Management: Conducting regular inventory counts, checking in new drug deliveries, restocking shelves, and auditing inventory to safely remove expired products.
Returns Processing: Managing inbound medication returns from facilities to securely process them for credit or safe destruction.
Compliance & Safety: Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of all state and federal pharmacy laws, ensuring that all operational activities and records remain fully compliant with regulatory standards.
What We Are Looking For
Experience: 1 to 2 years of prior pharmacy technician experience is highly preferred.
Education: A High School diploma, GED, or equivalent professional work experience is preferred.
Credentials: Active PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) Certification is preferred.
