OEM Sales Manager
Gerber | Fiskars Group
Location: Wilsonville, Oregon
At Gerber, we believe great products start with great ideas and strong partnerships. As part of Fiskars Group, Gerber has a long-standing reputation for creating reliable, high-performance products for people who demand more from their gear.
We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven OEM Sales Manager to grow and lead our business-to-business (B2B) channel. In this role, you will develop new partnerships, expand existing customer relationships, and bring custom, private-label, and co-branded product programs to life.
Working with customers across outdoor, tactical, military and government, law enforcement, industrial, and promotional markets, you will own the full commercial relationship—from identifying new opportunities and developing proposals to negotiating agreements and supporting programs through product development and implementation.
This is an opportunity for a relationship-driven sales professional who enjoys winning new business, navigating complex sales cycles, and working closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to turn customer needs into successful commercial programs.
What you'll do:
Drive business growth
- Own the annual OEM revenue and margin plan, developing strategies to achieve business objectives.
- Identify, develop, and secure new OEM, private-label, co-branded, and contract manufacturing opportunities.
- Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline, accurate forecasts, and disciplined opportunity tracking.
- Develop customer proposals and quotations, negotiate commercial terms, and secure long-term supply agreements.
Build and grow customer partnerships
- Manage and develop existing OEM accounts, including pricing, program renewals, volume commitments, and annual business reviews.
- Build trusted relationships with customer stakeholders across procurement, engineering, product development, and leadership teams.
- Serve as the primary point of contact throughout customer product development and implementation processes.
- Represent Gerber at customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows.
Bring customer ideas to life
- Partner with internal engineering, product management, and operations teams to translate customer requirements into viable product solutions.
- Coordinate product feasibility, design requirements, tooling, minimum order quantities (MOQs), and production lead times.
- Bring customer insights, market trends, and competitive intelligence into internal product and business planning discussions.
- Maintain strong collaboration across functions to ensure programs move successfully from concept through production.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of experience in B2B sales, OEM sales, business development, or account management within a manufacturing environment.
- A demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding revenue and margin targets, particularly within longer and more complex sales cycles.
- Experience developing new business while maintaining and growing established customer relationships.
- Strong commercial acumen, including experience with pricing, quotations, negotiations, and contract management.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, particularly engineering, supply chain, product management, and operations.
- Proficiency with CRM and ERP systems, along with strong Excel and presentation skills.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to travel domestically up to 40%.
What will set you apart
- Experience in cutlery, hand tools, outdoor equipment, tactical products, or other consumer hardgoods.
- Familiarity with precision metal manufacturing processes, such as stamping, laser cutting, CNC machining, heat treatment, grinding, and surface finishing.
- Previous experience managing private-label, co-branded, or contract manufacturing programs.
- An established network within OEM, outdoor, industrial, tactical, or related B2B markets.
What success looks like
In your first 12 months, you will:
- Develop a strong understanding of Gerber's existing OEM customer portfolio and complete business reviews with key accounts.
- Establish a qualified pipeline of new OEM and private-label opportunities.
- Secure at least one new OEM or private-label program and advance it into production planning.
- Build strong working relationships with engineering and operations to establish an effective approach to customer quotations, product feasibility, and program development.
Why join Gerber?
At Gerber, you'll be part of a brand with a strong heritage of innovation, craftsmanship, and performance. As part of Fiskars Group, you'll have the opportunity to work across a global organization while helping shape the future of our B2B business.
You'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful commercial impact, build lasting partnerships, and bring new products and ideas to market.
