Temporary Finance Officer: Debtors

United Exports is looking for a detail-oriented and organised Finance Officer: Debtors to join our Finance team in Paarl on a temporary basis.

The successful candidate will support the accurate processing and management of debtors transactions, maintain customer accounts, assist with collections and reporting, and help ensure that financial information is processed accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities

- Process daily customer invoices, credit notes, receipts and debit notes.
- Allocate customer payments accurately against outstanding invoices.
- Process customer discounts, rebates, claims and supporting documentation.
- Monitor outstanding debtor balances and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Assist with debt collection and resolution of customer queries.
- Distribute invoices, credit notes and customer statements timeously.
- Assist with customer credit limits, KYC requirements and account maintenance.
- Prepare and distribute weekly age analysis reports.
- Assist with weekly debtor collection forecasts.
- Maintain accurate customer information, payment terms and billing details.
- Support intercompany reconciliations and journal processing.
- Liaise professionally with customers and internal departments to resolve account queries.
- Attend weekly debtors and invoicing meetings.

### Requirements
What We're Looking For

- Grade 12 / Matric.
- A relevant Finance diploma or degree.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar debtors/accounts receivable role.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience with NetSuite would be advantageous.
- Strong numerical and data-entry skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
