Location: Portugal, LisbonWork engagement: Hybrid, 2 days onsiteExperience: 5+ yearsWe are seeking an experienced PowerBuilder Developer to support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of enterprise applications built on the PowerBuilder platform, within a financial markets environment. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in PowerBuilder, relational databases and SQL, application support, and troubleshooting. Experience in financial markets is essential.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, enhance, and maintain applications using PowerBuilderAnalyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutionsDevelop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objectsPerform application debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuningSupport production deployments and resolve application issues within SLA timelinesCollaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, QA teams, and other technical teamsParticipate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practicesPrepare technical documentation, design documents, and deployment guidesProvide estimates for development and enhancement effortsProvide technical guidance to less experienced developers when requiredRequirements5+ years of professional experience as a PowerBuilder Developer (PowerScript, DataWindow, DataStores)Strong experience with relational databases and SQL, including stored procedures and query tuningProven experience in financial markets projectsUnderstanding of financial instruments and the trade lifecycleExperience with production support and troubleshooting in critical environmentsExperience with Git for version controlKnowledge of n-tier architecturesStrong analytical, communication, and documentation skillsEnglish proficiency at C1 level (written and spoken)Nice to HaveExperience with recent PowerBuilder versions (2019/2022)Experience with application upgrades, migrations, or modernization projectsKnowledge of web services and integration (REST/SOAP, JSON/XML)Agile/Scrum and CI/CD practicesWhat can you expect from us?Mind-blowing workplace culture.
