Junior DevOps & AI Automation Engineer

Your Mission

Join our Engineering team and help us improve the tools and environments used to build, test and deliver medical software.

As a DevOps & AI Automation Engineer, you will work on DevOps, infrastructure, scripting and practical AI automation. You will support CI/CD pipelines and engineering environments while developing your knowledge of AI-assisted workflows, automation and agent-based solutions.

You will collaborate with experienced colleagues and product teams, contribute to real engineering tasks and gradually take ownership of more complex activities. We are looking for someone with a solid technical foundation, curiosity and a strong willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

DevOps & CI/CD

- Support the maintenance and improvement of CI/CD pipelines and engineering workflows.
- Create and update pipeline definitions using YAML and reusable templates.
- Automate build, test, deployment and environment activities with support from the team.
- Help configure and troubleshoot build and test agents across Windows, Linux or macOS environments.
- Support development, build and test infrastructure.
- Create and maintain scripts using PowerShell, Python or Bash.

AI Environments & Automation

- Help prepare and maintain environments used for AI-assisted engineering and automation.
- Support the deployment and configuration of approved AI services and related components.
- Connect AI services with development and DevOps tools through APIs or available SDKs.
- Develop small AI-assisted tools, agents and workflow prototypes together with experienced colleagues.
- Contribute to solutions for pipeline troubleshooting, log analysis, documentation and release preparation.
- Test generated outputs and improve solutions based on feedback and real usage.

Security, Quality & Operational Support

- Follow established security, quality and automation practices.
- Handle credentials, tokens and certificates according to defined processes.
- Keep automated and AI-generated outputs traceable and reviewable.
- Monitor and troubleshoot pipelines, engineering environments and automation tools.
- Document recurring problems, implemented solutions and reusable technical knowledge.

What You Bring

- 2+ years of experience in DevOps, software engineering, IT infrastructure, automation or a comparable technical area.
- Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts and software delivery workflows.
- Basic scripting or programming experience in PowerShell, Python, Bash or a comparable language.
- Experience working with Windows and/or Linux environments.
- Interest in AI technologies and their practical use in engineering workflows.
- Good written and spoken English.

Nice to Have

- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Git, Jenkins or another CI/CD platform.
- Experience with YAML-based pipelines, reusable templates or pipeline-as-code.
- Familiarity with virtual machines, containers, networking or authentication concepts.
- Experience connecting systems through REST APIs or SDKs.
- Practical experience using Large Language Models for technical tasks.
- Basic understanding of prompts, context management and structured outputs.
- Experience creating a simple AI agent, chatbot or AI-assisted automation.
- Familiarity with Azure AI services, Azure OpenAI, GitHub Copilot, Microsoft 365 Copilot or Copilot Studio.
- Awareness of Retrieval-Augmented Generation, semantic search or Model Context Protocol.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, JFrog Artifactory, Hyper-V, infrastructure as code or certificate management.
- Experience working in a regulated environment.

Basic wage component (gross) and other rewards : starting from 17 00 EUR brutto/month + VAR*

Our goal is to pay our employee's fairly, with regards to the market situation and we are ready to welcome high-quality candidates in our team.

In addition, this role includes a variable compensation component, depending on individual and/or company performance.

The final offer will be determined based on qualifications, skills, and experience and may exceed the stated minimum.
