In-Home Caregiver – Waterford, MI | Day & Evening Shifts

Are you an experienced caregiver looking for consistent part-time hours in home care? CareOne Senior Care is hiring dependable, compassionate, and motivated caregivers to provide in-home care and personal assistance to a couple in Waterford, Michigan.

This is an ongoing caregiving opportunity for individuals who enjoy helping seniors and adults with their daily routines, providing companionship, assisting with personal care, and supporting clients who wish to remain comfortable and independent in their own homes.

We are currently looking for caregivers interested in recurring daytime and evening shifts throughout the week. Candidates with flexible availability and reliable transportation are encouraged to apply!

Position Details

- Location: Waterford, MI
- Pay: Up to $22.50 per hour
- Available Days: Monday–Sunday
- Day Shift: 10:00 AM–3:00 PM
- Evening Shift: 4:00 PM–9:00 PM
- Schedule: Recurring shifts based on availability and client needs

Caregivers may be considered for one or both shift options depending on availability and scheduling needs. We are especially interested in applicants who can commit to a consistent weekly schedule.

Job Responsibilities

As an In-Home Caregiver, you will provide personalized assistance to help clients maintain their comfort, safety, and independence at home.

Companionship and Daily Support

- Provide friendly companionship and meaningful conversation.
- Encourage participation in daily activities and routines.
- Offer emotional support and maintain a positive, respectful environment.
- Assist clients with everyday needs while promoting independence.

Personal Care and Daily Living Assistance

- Assist with bathing, grooming, and dressing as needed.
- Provide assistance with personal hygiene and incontinence care.
- Support safe mobility and transfers according to the client's care plan.
- Provide reminders and assistance with daily routines.
- Respect each client's privacy, dignity, and personal preferences.

Meal Preparation and Household Assistance

- Assist with meal preparation and serving meals.
- Pick up lunch and dinner for the clients as assigned.
- Perform light housekeeping to maintain a clean and comfortable living space.
- Assist with laundry and household tasks related to client care.
- Help keep frequently used areas organized and safe.

Communication and Documentation

- Follow individualized client care plans and company procedures.
- Communicate important updates or concerns to the CareOne Senior Care office.
- Complete required shift documentation.
- Report changes in the clients' condition or care needs.
- Maintain professional communication with clients and family members.

Qualifications and Requirements

We are looking for caregivers who are dependable, patient, attentive, and committed to providing quality home care.

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Previous caregiver, home health aide, personal care, or direct care experience preferred.
- Reliable transportation to and from the client's home.
- Valid driver's license, current vehicle insurance, and vehicle registration for assignments involving driving.
- Working cell phone for communication and scheduling.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to follow client care plans and company policies.
- Ability to successfully complete the required background screening.
- Current TB test or willingness to obtain one before employment begins.

Experience in the following areas is a plus:

- Senior care and elderly care.
- In-home caregiving and companion care.
- Personal care assistance.
- Bathing, dressing, and hygiene assistance.
- Meal preparation and household assistance.
- Mobility assistance and transfers.
- Caring for multiple clients in a household.

Training and guidance are provided as applicable to the assignment.
