What Does an In-Home Caregiver Do?

As a caregiver with CareOne Senior Care, you will provide personalized assistance to help clients maintain their daily routines, safety, comfort, and independence.

Depending on the client's individual care plan, responsibilities may include:

Personal Care and Daily Living Assistance

- Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Provide support with daily routines and activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Assist with mobility and transfers as assigned.
- Provide incontinence care when needed.
- Encourage independence while offering assistance with everyday tasks.

Companionship and Social Support

- Provide friendly companionship and meaningful conversation.
- Participate in activities that encourage social interaction.
- Offer emotional support and encouragement.
- Help clients stay engaged in their daily routines and interests.

Meal Preparation and Household Assistance

- Prepare meals and snacks according to client preferences and care instructions.
- Assist with eating when needed and within the care plan.
- Perform light housekeeping related to client care.
- Assist with laundry and keeping frequently used living areas clean and organized.
- Help maintain a safe, comfortable home environment.

Client Care and Communication

- Follow individualized client care plans.
- Communicate important updates or concerns to the office.
- Report changes in a client's condition or care needs.
- Maintain professional communication with clients, families, and the CareOne Senior Care team.
- Complete required shift documentation.

Flexible Caregiver Scheduling Opportunities

Depending on current client needs, available opportunities may include:

- Morning and afternoon shifts.
- Evening shifts.
- Overnight caregiving assignments.
- Temporary and short-term coverage.

Specific shift times and schedules vary depending on the client assignment. Our scheduling team works with caregivers to identify opportunities that match their availability and experience.

Pay and Employee Benefits

At CareOne Senior Care, we value the work our caregivers do and offer competitive pay and additional employee perks.

Compensation:

- Regular caregiver pay: $15–$17 per hour.
- Specialty caregiving assignments: Up to $22.50 per hour, depending on the assignment.
- Weekly pay.
- Optional next-day access to earned wages through Tapcheck.
- $150 caregiver referral bonus after 90 days in good standing, subject to program requirements.
- Mileage reimbursement for approved transportation related to client care.

Qualifications and Requirements

We are looking for individuals who are dependable, patient, respectful, and committed to providing quality care.

Applicants must:

- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Have a compassionate and professional approach to client care.
- Be dependable and punctual.
- Have the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and office staff.
- Be comfortable working independently in a client's home.
- Be able to follow care instructions and company policies.
- Successfully complete the required background screening.
- Have a current TB test or be willing to obtain one before employment begins.
- Have reliable transportation to and from assigned client locations.

For assignments involving client transportation, a valid driver's license, current vehicle registration, and auto insurance are required.

Previous caregiving experience is welcome but not required for eligible entry-level assignments.
