Jr. Food and Beverage Attendant

PURPOSE

The Junior Food and Beverage Attendant (“JFBA”) will perform tasks that support the Food and Beverage outlets and further assist during service. Help with opening and closing duties of various outlets, stock items, assist in the reordering process. JFBA will assist in keeping various outlets clean and well stocked as per instructions and filling requisitions. Should be passionate about working, a team player, aspiring to deliver excellent service at all time.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Education and Experience:

- High school graduate or its equivalent.

- Experience in a hotel or related field.

- Food Safety training/ Health Certificate.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

- Keeping the front of the house and pantry clean and organized of each outlet.

- Cleaning spills in the restaurant.

- Keeping assigned stations always stocked.

- Assisting Manager, FBAs (inclusive of Bartenders) with keeping a clean working environment.

- Reporting appliances that are not working properly to the Manager on duty.

- Performing cleaning, daily and weekly maintenance of various equipment:

Such as but not limited to: blenders, ice cream chests, ice cream machine, soft serve machines, coffee machines, ice bins, beer coolers, etc.

- Keeping the assigned area clean by wiping down surfaces, sweeping, mopping, removing soiled glassware, scrubbing coolers and storage areas, and emptying trash receptacles. Tidying up tables, counters, and other outlet areas as needed.

- Learning food and beverage menu items in order to answer questions from Members and/or guests and be able to assist in the absence of an FBA.

- Ensuring that delivered items are stored properly.

- Bussing responsibilities such as clearing soiled trays, empty cups, glasses, plates and trash from bar top and tables.

- Replenishing pantry items.

- Assisting the F & B Manager, FBAs (inclusive of Bartenders) with other tasks as needed.

- Removing trash.

- Bringing a copy of the requisitions for supplies to the Cellar and/or Stores Department.

- Filling requisitions for bars, Ice Cream Parlor and restaurants.

- Ensuring there is an adequate supply of glassware at the bars.

- Transporting ice.

- Returning clean glasses to their appropriate places.

- Keeping ice bin replenished as needed.

- Washing and restocking glassware and mixing tools.

- Cleaning spills at the bar and Member or Guest table.
