SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM – 4:00 PM
PAY RATE: $22.00 – $25.00/hr (Depending on Experience)
Position Overview
A premier, leading precision manufacturing company located in Hicksville, NY is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will set up, run, and monitor manufacturing machinery to produce high-precision mechanical components.
This position offers a stable early-shift schedule, clean indoor facility conditions, and long-term career growth opportunities for a candidate with at least 6 months - 1 year of hands-on machine operating experience .
Key Responsibilities
Machine Operation: Safely set up, calibrate, and operate production machinery according to job specifications and work orders.
Parts Inspection: Inspect raw materials and finished components using basic measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure exact quality standards.
Production Monitoring: Monitor equipment during operation, perform basic adjustments, and promptly report any equipment malfunctions or material defects.
Maintenance & Safety: Perform routine daily cleaning, lubrication, and basic maintenance of assigned machinery; adhere strictly to safety guidelines and PPE protocols.
Documentation: Maintain accurate daily production logs, material usage records, and quality check sheets.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience as a Machine Operator in a manufacturing, production, or machine shop environment.
Technical Skills: Ability to read basic blueprints, schematics, or job instruction sheets; familiarity with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers) is preferred.
Schedule & Reliability: Punctual and able to work the early shift ( 6:30 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday–Friday ).
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive manual tasks, and lift up to 40 lbs comfortably.
