Engineering Test Technician
Location: Plainview, NY
Overview
Ready to launch your career in aerospace engineering? We're seeking an Engineering Test Technician to join an innovative, employee-owned aerospace manufacturer specializing in advanced ice protection and temperature control systems used on some of the world's most recognized commercial and military aircraft, including Boeing, Airbus, and Apache Helicopters. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent Electrical Engineering graduate who wants to move beyond the classroom and gain hands-on experience working with real-world electrical systems, test equipment, troubleshooting, and aerospace technologies. You'll work alongside experienced engineers and technicians while building the technical foundation for a long-term engineering career.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on electrical testing, validation, and troubleshooting of aerospace components and systems
- Conduct component-level diagnostics, analysis, and repair of electronic assemblies
- Utilize a variety of electrical test equipment, including: Oscilloscopes
- Digital Multimeters (DMMs)
- Power Supplies
- Function Generators
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
- Support testing and evaluation of aircraft temperature control and ice protection systems
- Accurately record test results and maintain detailed documentation
- Identify, document, and report product non-conformances and test failures
- Collaborate with engineering teams to investigate and resolve electrical issues
- Assist with product validation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement efforts
- Spend approximately 50-75% of the workday performing hands-on testing and troubleshooting activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Recent graduates encouraged to apply, including May 2026 graduates
- Strong understanding of electrical circuits, electronics, and electrical fundamentals
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
- Hands-on experience with laboratory or testing equipment through: Coursework

Requirements
- Experience using common electrical test equipment, including oscilloscopes and multimeters

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plainview, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
