About this role

Project Manager

Are you a Project Manager who enjoys taking ownership of complex projects, bringing structure to moving pieces, and seeing initiatives through from planning to successful delivery? We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to join a growing, technically driven organization delivering complex engineering and operational projects. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being at the centre of planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, stakeholder coordination, and project execution. You’ll work closely with technical and operational teams to keep projects moving forward, proactively address challenges, and ensure commitments around schedule, budget, quality, and delivery are achieved.

###

What You’ll Be Doing

- Lead the planning, scheduling, budgeting, coordination, and execution of complex technical projects.
- Manage projects throughout the full lifecycle, from initial planning through execution, testing, and final delivery.
- Develop and actively manage detailed project schedules, milestones, dependencies, and critical activities.
- Establish and monitor project budgets, forecasts, expenditures, and overall financial performance.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure project requirements, priorities, and timelines remain aligned.
- Provide clear project updates to stakeholders and leadership, including progress, schedule, budget, risks, and upcoming milestones.
- Proactively identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impacts to schedule, cost, quality, and delivery.
- Coordinate procurement and supplier activities to ensure materials, services, and resources are available when required.
- Work closely with operational and technical teams to resolve challenges impacting project execution.
- Manage multiple projects and priorities while maintaining strong organization and attention to detail.
- Support testing, implementation, commissioning, or project handover activities as required.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and facilitate effective communication and decision-making.
- Identify opportunities to improve project management tools, processes, reporting, and overall execution.
- Take ownership of project outcomes and help drive projects successfully across the finish line.

What We’re Looking For

- 3+ years of project management experience within a technical, industrial, engineering, manufacturing, or similarly complex project environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects involving multiple stakeholders, technical requirements, and competing priorities.
- Strong planning and scheduling capabilities, including experience developing and maintaining detailed project schedules.
- Experience managing project budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, and financial performance.
- Strong ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and keep multiple workstreams moving toward common project objectives.
- Experience identifying and managing project risks and proactively resolving issues before they impact delivery.
- Proven ability to successfully manage multiple projects or priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable preparing and presenting project updates, forecasts, performance metrics, and other project reporting.
- Strong understanding of project execution within an operational or technically complex environment.
- Ability to work independently with a high level of ownership, accountability, and initiative.
- A continuous improvement mindset with an interest in making project execution more efficient and effective.

Nice to Have

- Engineering degree, technical diploma, business degree, or related education
- PMP certification or other formal project management training.
- Advanced experience with project scheduling, planning, or reporting software.
- Experience delivering technically complex or engineered projects.
- Exposure to manufacturing, production, construction, fabrication, or other operational environments.
- Experience supporting testing, commissioning, implementation, or project deployment activities.
- Experience coordinating suppliers, procurement activities, or externally sourced project requirements.
- Strong analytical abilities, particularly around budgeting, scheduling, forecasting, and risk management.
- Experience working in a fast-moving environment where Project Managers have significant autonomy and responsibility.

Why This Opportunity?

This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager who wants to be close to the work and have genuine ownership over project outcomes. You’ll be involved throughout the entire project lifecycle, working alongside technical and operational teams to solve problems, navigate changing priorities, manage budgets and schedules, and ultimately see projects through to successful completion. The role offers a strong combination of project ownership, technical exposure, financial management, stakeholder engagement, and operational involvement, with the opportunity to make a visible impact on how projects are executed. This is primarily an on-site position within a collaborative, project-driven environment. You’ll work closely with a variety of technical, operational, and business stakeholders and play an important role in keeping complex projects organized and moving forward.
