Job Title: Project Manager Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Manager to lead and manage new product development projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and executing project work plans, revising them as necessary to meet changing needs and requirements. This role involves ensuring each stage of the project progresses on time, within budget, and meets quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Create and execute project work plans and revise them as necessary to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Identify required resources and assign responsibilities.
- Ensure each stage of the project is progressing on time, on budget, and to the right quality standards.
- Maintain relentless attention to timelines and details, managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Apply New Product Development (NPD) methodology effectively and enforce project standards.
- Ensure project documentation is clear, concise, complete, and archived appropriately.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with project team members, stakeholders, and senior leaders across various departments.
- Prepare status updates for project team, sponsors, and executive leadership.
- Present project issues and summaries to senior management.
Essential Skills
- BS Degree in Engineering or equivalent with 5-10 years of experience, including managing product development projects.
- Experience as an Electrical or Electromechanical Engineer with 5-10 years of experience.
- Exceptional communication skills and experience working with all levels of associates and leaders.
- Experience in the design and manufacture of electromechanical and electronic products.
- Experience with UL, CSA, and other regulatory agency requirements.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Proven project management experience.
- Experience working within New Product Development processes.
Work Environment
You will have the opportunity to work on multiple projects within new product development, with the flexibility to work from home two to three days a week. This role offers the potential to transition to a permanent position. Our company generates revenue through the sale of lighting control and energy management solutions, including timers, controls, and other electrical and mechanical control products. Our target market includes electricians, contractors, and distributors, offering durable timers, energy-saving technologies, and advanced digital controls.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Libertyville, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
