Job Title: Structural Engineer Job Description The Structural Engineer is responsible for developing structural designs, engineering drawings, and detailed construction documentation for custom building projects. This role focuses heavily on structural layout, drafting, detailing, and design development while supporting projects through manufacturing and construction. Responsibilities
- Prepare CAD drawings for custom fire-training structures.
- Compile accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Design new parts and custom details.
- Prepare structural calculations for specific projects.
- Manage projects from pre-construction through permitting.
- Ensure compliance with customer requirements and local permitting.
- Collaborate with purchasing and suppliers.
- Maintain calculation systems and improve design processes.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Ability to read and interpret structural and fabrication drawings.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Structural or Architectural Engineering preferred
- Associate’s degree with 1–3 years of drafting/detailing experience in the structural or construction industry.
Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Sun Prairie, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $85000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility begins following 30 days of employment
