Job Title: Controls Engineering Technician Job Description We are seeking an experienced Controls Engineering Technician to support commissioning, installation, and troubleshooting activities at a large-scale data center campus. This role focuses on electrical controls, instrumentation, power monitoring systems, and building automation infrastructure in a mission-critical environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong experience in low-voltage electrical systems, instrumentation, and industrial controls and be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced construction environment. Responsibilities
- Install and terminate control wiring, instrumentation, and communication cabling.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control drawings.
- Perform terminations in control panels, junction boxes, and field devices.
- Install, calibrate, and troubleshoot instrumentation including sensors, transmitters, and switches.
- Support commissioning activities including loop checks, I/O verification, and system testing.
- Troubleshoot control system and instrumentation issues.
- Assist engineers with testing and startup of PLC and building automation systems.
- Review project drawings and BIM models.
- Generate testing documentation and reports.
- Safely operate lifts and other access equipment as required.
Essential Skills
- 4+ years of low-voltage electrical construction experience.
- 1+ year of experience as a Controls Technician, Instrumentation Technician, or Automation Technician.
- Proficiency in control wiring and terminations.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Experience in instrumentation installation and calibration.
- Knowledge of RS-485 / Modbus communications.
- Ability to work inside control panels and junction boxes.
- Capability to work with limited supervision.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Recent experience in data centers.
- OSHA 10 Certification - Can get this after receiving an offer. Just need it completed prior to starting onsite.
- Experience with MEWP/Lift.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Work Environment This position involves traveling to data centers primarily located in Arizona. The work environment is fast-paced and construction-oriented, requiring the use of various access equipment. The role demands a high level of independence and expertise in controls engineering, PLC programming, and troubleshooting in mission-critical settings.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
