Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) – Sterile Compounding
Location: Near Gainesville, FL
Pay Rate: $90.00+ / hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Flexibility Built-In: We are open to candidates seeking a 4-day work week (Monday–Thursday) or a Friday half-day schedule.
Position Summary
Rx relief is hiring a Pharmacist in Charge to lead clinical pharmacy operations near Gainesville, FL. This position is ideal for a skilled compounding leader looking for high-level operational oversight paired with true schedule flexibility and competitive pay.

Candidate Requirements Experience: 1+ years of hazardous and non-hazardous sterile compounding experience (USP <797>, USP <800>, DEA, OSHA, and State Board standards) Leadership: Prior pharmacy management experience with demonstrated team-building abilities Preferred: Background in home infusion, hospital, or oncology infusion settings Core Competencies: Exceptional attention to detail, strong time management, and comfort operating in cleanroom environments
Key Responsibilities Clinical Oversight: Interpret, process, and perform final verification on compounded sterile preparations; review patient profiles for safety, dosing, and drug interactions Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and schedule staff pharmacists and pharmacy technicians; run regular team meetings Quality & Compliance: Maintain cleanroom integrity, aseptic techniques, and environmental monitoring; direct QA programs, audits, and regulatory reporting Operations & Inventory: Oversee perpetual inventory systems, policy/procedure development, and compliance with OSHA, DEA, and Board of Pharmacy rules
Physical Demands Standing, walking, stooping, bending, and reaching overhead throughout the shift Ability to exert up to 40 lbs of force occasionally and 10–20 lbs frequently Fine manual dexterity to manipulate syringes, needles, vials, and IV bags Ability to wear all required PPE continuously in designated cleanroom areas
