About this role

The Director of Sales will lead, direct, and motivate the sales team to consistently achieve and surpass annual revenue targets. This role assumes full management responsibility for all departmental operations, ensuring strict adherence to quality guidelines and hotel standards while actively supporting the hotel’s mission, vision, and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with the preparation of the annual budget by providing statistics and forecasts of account productions.
- Prepare and submit relevant administration in a timely and accurate manner such as sales call schedules, sales call reports, and monthly reports of the sales team to the General Manager.
- Ensure all Sales personnel have sales targets, personal sales plans and a personal incentive.
- Formulate strategies in order to run an effective Sales team.
- Monitor all outstanding balances on all department accounts and follow up with all professional sales team members in a timely manner.
- Work closely with all professional sales team members in the preparation of personal sales goals on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis and complete a report and analysis at the end of each month.
- Promote the action of cross selling of other Kempinski Hotels with all sales colleagues.
- Responsible for ensuring all enquires are responded to within 24 hours.
- Responsible for greeting all site inspections at the Hotel.
- Be aware of all market trends and check with General Manager for urgent action.
- Attend the international fairs, road shows maintain and build strong relations during these events.
- Responsible for key account management on an assigned account base or geographic areas ensuring revenue maximization, achievement of personal targets and increasing fair market share versus competitor set.
- Responsible for prospecting new accounts.
- Attend weekly revenue meeting
- To prepare weekly activities and plan for the upcoming week.
- Conduct site inspections.
- Follow up of tentative bookings in the assigned markets.
- Detailed knowledge of competitor set.
- Detailed knowledge of all services provided by the Hotel and all relevant facts and figures of the hotel.
- Responsible for timely contracting from the client base responsible for.
- SMART contracting to ensure optimum yielding during annual rate negotiations.
- Execute sales actions within set cost budget structure.

Job Requirements

- Strong Luxury background
- Minimum 2 to 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- UAE Driving licence
- Degree/Diploma in Hotel Management / Business Administration
- Strong knowledge of Opera & Microsoft Office
- Understands the local & international culture and have worked in the region
- Should be result & quality driven.
- Role is reporting directly to the General manager.
