Job Title: Back Office Medical Assistant Job Description This role is ideal for an experienced Back Office Medical Assistant who thrives in a high-volume outpatient clinic and is comfortable supporting a busy colorectal specialty practice. You will work closely with a physician or nurse practitioner, focusing exclusively on back office functions and providing both clinical and some administrative support. Responsibilities

- Provided back-office clinical support in a high-volume colorectal specialty clinic, assisting providers with patient care, examinations, and daily workflow.
- Performed patient intake duties including obtaining vital signs, documenting medical histories, maintaining records in Athena EMR, and ensuring a positive patient experience.
- Supported clinic operations through appointment scheduling, insurance verification, patient communication, and maintaining compliance with clinical protocols and safety standards.

Essential Skills

- 1–2+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a high-volume outpatient clinic setting.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential.
- Verified high school diploma or GED (must be obtained and verified before submission).
- Active BLS/CPR certification.
- Strong experience with electronic health records, with Athena EMR experience required.

Work Environment This position is based in a high-volume outpatient colorectal specialty clinic that values stability, professionalism, and a positive team culture. The role is strictly back office, with no front office duties, and involves close collaboration with a physician or nurse practitioner. You will work primarily with the Athena electronic medical record system and standard clinical equipment used in specialty outpatient care. The schedule is first shift, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with limited but possible overtime based on clinic needs. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
