Summary
The Merchandiser Controller is responsible for supervising and coordinating the field merchandising team, ensuring proper product display, shelf availability, and adherence to merchandising standards across all assigned outlets, in order to support the company's sales targets and brand image in the market.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities and Duties (duties are summarized but not limited to)
▪ Plans, organizes, and supervises the daily field activities and routes of the merchandising team to ensure full and efficient coverage of assigned outlets.
▪ conducts regular field visits to verify correct product display, shelf positioning, and compliance with the company's planograms and visual merchandising standards.
▪ Monitors stock levels and product availability at points of sale, and coordinates with the sales team to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
▪ Ensures merchandisers apply the company's brand guidelines, pricing accuracy, and proper rotation of products (FIFO/FEFO).
▪ Tracks and reports merchandisers' attendance, punctuality, and route adherence on a regular basis.
▪ Evaluates the performance of merchandisers, identifies training needs, and provides on-the-job coaching to improve efficiency and results.
▪ Prepares and submits periodic reports on merchandising activities, market observations, and competitor shelf presence to the Retail Division Manager and Sales Manager.
▪ Coordinates with sales representatives and supervisors to align merchandising efforts with the company's overall sales strategy and targets.
▪ Oversees the distribution and proper implementation of promotional and point-of-sale materials in outlets.
▪ Handles and resolves issues related to product display, damaged goods, or outlet complaints in a timely manner.
▪ Performs all requested desk duties such as system data entry related to merchandising activities, in order to maintain accurate records for the company to rely upon when needed.
▪ Provides on time all the reports requested by the Sales Manager and the General Manager in order to align them with the actions planned and taken.
Requirements
▪ Undertakes any other reasonable task requested by the management.
3-Job Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Business, Marketing, or any related field.
- Excellent command of English, French and Arabic Languages.
- Excellent Business writing skills in English, French and Arabic Languages.
- 2-4 years of experience in merchandising, retail, or FMCG sales field.
- Computer literacy.
