About this role

Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer Job Description We are seeking a Quality Engineer to monitor production assembly processes, focusing on improving efficiency and participating in production team meetings to drive continuous improvement. You will be responsible for establishing and monitoring inspection plans based on customer acceptance criteria and ensuring compliance with both customer requirements and our Quality Management System. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, working alongside a diverse range of personnel including Engineers, Manufacturing personnel, management resources, and representatives from the U.S. Government. Additionally, you will provide engineering assistance for lot acceptance test requirements, write and incorporate detailed work instructions, and plan and conduct quality audits while conveying findings through formal reporting. Responsibilities

- Monitor production assembly processes to improve efficiency.
- Participate in production team meetings to drive continuous improvement.
- Establish and monitor inspection plans based on customer acceptance criteria.
- Ensure compliance with customer requirements and Quality Management System.
- Collaborate with Engineers, Manufacturing personnel, management, and U.S.G. representatives.
- Provide engineering assistance for lot acceptance test requirements.
- Write and incorporate detailed work instructions.
- Plan and conduct quality audits and report findings formally.

Essential Skills

- Quality engineering expertise.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards.
- Experience with corrective actions and audit control plans.
- Proficiency in GD&T and defense industry standards.
- Knowledge of supplier quality and military/government compliance.
- 1-3+ years of experience in quality engineering.
- Experience dealing with US government and DoD/Military entities.
- Comfort with inspection experience in shop floor/assembly environments.
- Ability to manage internal audits and support quality inspectors.
- Proficiency in tools like PPAP, corrective action plans, and quality assurance.
- Experience with first article inspection and root cause analysis.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- A four-year degree is not necessary; relevant experience is key.
- Experience in munitions and firearms is advantageous.
- Understanding of military standards and specifications.
- Ability to think quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Ambitious and hands-on approach.

Work Environment The work environment offers a clean and growth-oriented setting with a focus on cutting-edge technology and exciting new product initiatives. You will be part of a team that regularly interacts with Inspectors, Manufacturing, and the SQE team. Our business and contracts are secure for the next five years, ensuring stability and growth. The schedule includes a typical workday from 7am-5pm with an hour lunch, consisting of four nine-hour days and an eight-hour Friday. You will have every other Friday off, with potential for flexible hours as long as consistency is maintained. Travel is rare but may occur for supplier issues or offsite product testing, typically lasting a week every 2-4 months. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $95000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. full benefits are available when hired at Amtec.
