Job Purpose
The Manager: Commercial Administration is responsible for leading and supervising the Commercial Administration team to deliver standardised and efficient sales related, customer claim and expense management processes, as well as accurate capturing of customer trading terms through the required platform
Role and Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a high-performing Commercial Administration team.
- Cascade scorecards, monitor performance against targets and ensure team accountability.
- Provide ongoing training, coaching and development to team members.
- Ensure effective team communication and maintain strong internal stakeholder and customer relationships.
- Create a high-performance culture aligned to the Premier Way and joint commitments.
- Ensure timeous and accurate capturing of sales promotional activity to support accrual calculations.
- Monitor and report trade spend against budget, identify potential savings and mitigate risks.
- Identify and remove wastage through continuous process improvement.
- Ensure training, communication and alignment to Sales SOPs.
- Ensure accurate and timely capturing of customer trading terms.
- Maintain the E-Trade application and verify the accuracy of information captured by the team.
- Manage the timely completion of end-to-end processes with relevant stakeholders.
- Provide monthly reports to relevant Sales Executives.
- Identify opportunities to improve and optimise process flow.
- Draw daily exception reports and manage price discrepancies with relevant keyholders.
- Support sales excellence through accurate deal sheet preparation and price capturing.
- Work with IT and Master Data teams to resolve system and data-capturing requirements.
Experience and Qualifications
- Business Administration-related Diploma or equivalent qualification - Essential
- 2–3 years' experience in a Sales Administrator role - Essential
- 1–2 years' experience in Master Data - Desirable
- 1–2 years' supervisory experience - Desirable
- 1–2 years' experience with E-Trade or Great Plains systems - Desirable
- Supervisory qualification - Desirable
