Manufacturing Engineer

Position Overview

Join a growing manufacturing team focused on supporting automated production equipment in a highly regulated environment. This role will lead equipment improvements, support new line launches, troubleshoot production challenges, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that improve efficiency, reliability, and overall equipment performance.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify production bottlenecks and implement process and equipment improvements.
- Support new equipment installations, startup activities, and manufacturing line expansions.
- Serve as a technical resource for automated production equipment and robotics systems.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and provide hands-on support to manufacturing operations.
- Analyze production data and drive initiatives to improve uptime, throughput, and yield.
- Manage engineering projects from planning through implementation.
- Partner with operations, quality, maintenance, and external vendors to support manufacturing goals.
- Assist with equipment qualification, validation, and GMP compliance activities.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related Engineering field.
- 2+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
- Experience supporting automated production equipment, robotics, or packaging systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in a manufacturing environment.
- Project management experience with equipment or process improvement initiatives.
- Comfortable working directly on the manufacturing floor and collaborating with technicians.
- Experience in GMP-regulated industries such as pharmaceutical, medical device, food, or consumer products manufacturing.

Preferred Qualifications

- Equipment validation and qualification experience.
- Experience with capital projects and manufacturing line startups.
- Knowledge of robotics, pick-and-place automation, and packaging equipment.
- Exposure to vendor management, factory acceptance testing, or equipment procurement.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Work Environment

This position is based in a modern manufacturing facility and includes a mix of office and production-floor responsibilities. Engineers are expected to spend significant time supporting equipment, interacting with operations teams, and leading improvement projects within a fast-paced, quality-focused environment. Flexible scheduling is available while supporting core business hours.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.37 - $50.48/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
