Job Title: Systems Engineer Job Description
The Systems Engineer will assist in the development or modification of systems and subsystems, focusing on both functional and empirical analysis related to the design, development, and implementation of hardware, systems, and subsystems for various products.
Responsibilities
- Conduct functional and empirical analysis for system and subsystem development.
- Assist in the design, development, and implementation of hardware systems.
- Engage in requirements analysis using tools such as DOORS or similar platforms.
- Decompose top-level requirements and troubleshoot systems at a higher level.
- Perform systems integration and testing with a strong knowledge of Linux.
- Support the validation and testing of requirements, ensuring system integrity.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Physics.
- Proficiency in Matlab for data analysis.
- Experience with requirements analysis tools like DOORS, Doors Next, or JAZZ.
- Familiarity with systems-level troubleshooting and debugging.
- Knowledge of systems integration and testing, especially with Linux.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Level 2 roles require 2-4 years of experience in requirement analysis, data analytics, integration and test, systems integration, and Matlab.
- Level 3 roles require 5-7 years of experience in requirement analysis, data analytics, integration and test, systems integration, and Matlab.
Work Environment
Work is primarily desk-based with visits to the lab for testing. The role supports the Aegis Missile Defense program, which has been a stable part of the government defense sector for over 40 years. Employees benefit from long-term contracts, flexible PTO, and a 9/80 work schedule, with every other Friday off. The position involves collaboration on programs such as SSDS, BMD, and various product lines including Mission Assurance, Command and Control, Displays, and Weapons Control Systems.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $68.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
