BIM Coordinator
Shape the Future of Commercial Plumbing Projects
We're looking for a BIM Coordinator who is passionate about leveraging technology to improve project delivery, collaboration, and construction outcomes. In this role, you'll play a key part in developing and advancing Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) processes for commercial plumbing projects. You'll work closely with project teams, field operations, safety, quality, and leadership to drive coordination, solve complex challenges, and create efficiencies from design through construction. What You'll Do
- Develop and enhance BIM workflows, standards, and processes to support project execution across all phases of construction.
- Utilize BIM technology to improve estimating, project planning, coordination, and overall project delivery.
- Partner with project teams and operations leaders to identify opportunities where BIM can improve project outcomes and field execution.
- Create construction process plans, coordination drawings, and visualizations that support internal teams and project stakeholders.
- Support BIM modeling and detailing efforts, with a focus on commercial plumbing systems.
- Perform quality control reviews to ensure models and shop drawings are accurate, complete, and aligned with company standards.
- Collaborate with field teams to streamline workflows and introduce innovative BIM-driven efficiencies.
- Work alongside Safety and Quality teams to identify new ways technology can improve jobsite performance and standard operating procedures.
- Identify and resolve coordination conflicts, constructability challenges, and BIM-related design issues before they impact the field.
- Maintain BIM standards, documentation, and best practices across active and future projects.
- Contribute BIM content and visualizations for marketing initiatives, proposals, and business development efforts.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience as a BIM Coordinator or in a similar BIM-focused role.
- 6+ months of experience supporting commercial plumbing projects.
- Proficiency with Revit and other BIM software platforms.
- Experience creating and reviewing construction drawings and project documentation.
- Strong understanding of commercial plumbing systems and construction practices.
- Familiarity with Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) methodologies.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with both office and field teams.
- Ability to troubleshoot coordination issues and develop effective solutions.
- Experience interpreting and developing construction process plans.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using BIM models to support estimating, scheduling, and project planning.
- Familiarity with Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) environments.
- Experience creating BIM content for proposals, presentations, and marketing materials.
- Ability to identify opportunities to improve project workflows through technology and innovation.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced commercial plumbing construction environment.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of BROOKFIELD, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
