Job Title: Lead Process Engineer Job Description
The Lead Process Engineer is responsible for overseeing process development, optimization, and project execution across manufacturing operations while leading a team of process engineers and technicians. This role includes mentoring team members and managing formal performance feedback. The Lead Process Engineer and their team will support new product introductions, troubleshoot manufacturing issues, and drive efficiency and quality improvements across the facility. All tasks will be performed while supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of the company.
Responsibilities
- Oversee process development and optimization in manufacturing operations.
- Lead a team of process engineers and technicians.
- Mentor team members and manage formal performance feedback.
- Support new product introductions and troubleshoot manufacturing issues.
- Drive efficiency and quality improvements across the facility.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, goals, and objectives.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in lean manufacturing and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with CNC machining, polymer compounding, injection molding, and sintering.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Minitab.
- Ability to design tooling, fixtures, and parts using solid modeling software.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- B.S. in engineering or other technical discipline.
- 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing.
- 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role preferred.
- Above average attention to detail.
- Commitment to on-time task completion.
- Ability to present technical data concisely and in a timely manner.
- Well-organized, safety-conscious, and accountable for actions and performance.
- Sound judgment, problem analysis, and decision-making skills.
Work Environment
The work environment is a blend of 70% office and 30% on the production floor, requiring communication with production teams. The role is situated in a fast-paced manufacturing setting with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $140000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
