Resident Engineer (Transportation Infrastructure)

🚧 Lead the Delivery of Southern California's Largest Transportation & Infrastructure Programs A nationally recognized transportation and infrastructure consulting organization is expanding its construction management team and is seeking experienced Resident Engineers to support high-profile transportation, transit, public works, and infrastructure programs throughout the Greater Los Angeles Area. This is an opportunity to join major capital improvement programs that are actively shaping how millions of people move throughout Southern California.
### What You'll Be Doing
As a Resident Engineer, you will serve as a senior owner-side construction management leader responsible for:

- Managing construction management and inspection teams
- Leading contractor coordination and field operations
- Overseeing multiple active projects and work fronts
- Coordinating with public agencies, utilities, contractors, designers, and stakeholders
- Supporting risk management, scheduling, cost control, and change management efforts
- Reviewing claims, negotiations, and contractor issues
- Driving project execution from construction through closeout
- Representing the owner in high-visibility stakeholder environments

This is not a design engineering role .
### We're Looking For Professionals With
✅ 10-15+ years of construction management experience ✅ Resident Engineer, Deputy RE, Construction Manager, or Owner's Representative experience ✅ Public agency project experience ✅ Transportation, Transit, Public Works, Heavy Civil, or Infrastructure backgrounds ✅ Contractor management and stakeholder coordination experience ✅ Utility coordination experience ✅ Experience with RFIs, Change Orders, Claims, Project Controls, and Schedule Management ✅ Ability to lead teams and make sound decisions in fast-paced construction environments

### Compensation
💰 Highly Competitive Compensation Compensation is commensurate with experience, licensing, project background , public agency exposure, and leadership responsibility.

This is a Permanent position based out of Los Angeles, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $165000.00 - $239000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
