Position Summary

As a Team Lead in Personal Insurance Administration, you’ll provide hands-on administrative support, contribute to training and onboarding, and assist with maintaining quality and workflow consistency.

The team lead will:

- play a key role in supporting daily operations and helping the team deliver consistent, accurate, and high-quality administrative service.
- be the go-to resource for workflow and process questions, assist with task delegation, support training and onboarding, and help keep communication flowing between leadership and the team.
- provide audit, reconciliation and reporting support
- assist in the identification of improvement opportunities and/or areas operational efficiencies

Key Activities

Team Support & Development

- Serve as the first point of contact for day-to-day administrative inquiries.
- Help create a positive, collaborative, and supportive team environment by modeling professionalism and quality work.
- Support the delegation of routine tasks based on workload and priorities as directed by the Supervisor/Manager.
- Provide departmental training and guidance through technical expertise or coordination with subject matter experts.
- Coach and support new and experienced staff members to strengthen skills and workflow understanding
- Reinforce corporate vision, departmental objectives and establish processes with teams members.

Operational & Technical Support

- Collaborate with Supervisors, Managers, Administrators and other internal stakeholders to support smooth administrative operations.
- Assist in communicating workflow updates, procedural changes, and priorities between leadership and the team.
- Troubleshoot routine processing issues and escalate complex matters when appropriate
- Provide additional hands-on support to maintain service levels Policy updating and processing in EPIC
- Preparing and submitting refund requests as required.
- Monitoring and supporting for shared team inboxes

Quality and Workflow Support:

- Contribute to the organization and efficiency of the team
- Stay current on system updates, procedural changes and new training material
- Assist with internal reporting and basic operational tracking, including outstanding items and month-end contributions
- Assist batchers with monitoring and maintaining ICBC inventory and backend materials
- Participate in administrative projects, system enhancements and testing as assigned.
- Escalate workflow issues, system challenges, or policy clarification needs to leadership.

Additional Responsibilities

- Support special projects as needed
- Month end reporting and reconciliation
- Auditing activities as assigned
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Manager or Supervisor

Qualifications

- Minimum 1–2 years administrative experience in insurance or related office operations.
- Level 1 General Insurance License is an asset
- Strong computer proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, EPIC).
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

The expected salary range for this position is $48,000 to $50,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
