POSITION: Business Central Finance Consultant
LOCATION: Remote

Role Purpose
The Business Central Finance Consultant is responsible for leading the design, documentation,
configuration, implementation, and optimization of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Finance
solutions for clients. This role will work closely with finance leadership, operational teams, and project
stakeholders to streamline financial processes, improve reporting capabilities, and ensure best-practice
financial controls across sales, purchases, bank, warehouse and supply chain operations. The consultant will
provide subject matter expertise across General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets,
Cash Management, Budgeting, Sales and Purchasing, Inventory Costing, Cost Accounting, and Financial Reporting.

Key Responsibilities
Finance Solution Design & Delivery

- Conduct finance process discovery workshops.

- Gather and document business requirements.

- Lead finance-focused fit-gap analysis.

- Design Business Central finance solutions aligned to best practices.

- Configure Business Central Finance modules.

- Support testing, deployment, and go-live activities.

Financial Process Consulting
Provide expertise across:
General Ledger

- Chart of Accounts design

- Financial dimensions

- Financial controls

- Period-end processes

Accounts Payable

- Vendor management

- Purchase to Pay, including:

- Quote to Invoice processing

- Approval workflows

- Payment management

Accounts Receivable

- Customer Management,

- Order to Cash, including:

- Quote to Invoice

- Collections

- Credit management

- Receipt allocation

Fixed Assets

- Asset Master

- Depreciation Books

- Depreciation Schedules

- Acquisitions

- FA Journals

- Write Off

Inventory Costing & Warehousing

- Inventory valuation

- Costing methodologies

- Warehouse cost allocation

- Stock accounting

Financial Reporting

- Management reporting

- Budgeting and forecasting

- Cash flow reporting

- Compliance reporting

Required Skills & Experience

- Extensive Business Central Finance consulting experience.

- Strong accounting and finance knowledge.

- Experience with inventory valuation and warehouse costing.

- Multiple end-to-end ERP implementation projects.

- Financial process optimization experience.

- Experience in distribution, warehousing, manufacturing, or supply chain environments.

Success Measures (First 12 Months)

- Successfully deliver assigned Business Central Finance workstreams.

- Improve financial visibility and reporting for warehouse operations.

- Ensure inventory costing and financial controls are implemented correctly.

- Achieve positive client satisfaction ratings.

- Contribute reusable finance implementation templates and best practices.
