Position overview
- Role: Outpatient Therapist
- Population: Children and adolescents, with individual and family therapy
- Location: Southampton, PA — in office
- Salary: $50,000/year
- Additional pay: $5 per session for evidence-based treatment
- Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 12 PM–8 PM ; Friday 9 AM–5 PM is an option
Main responsibilities
- Provide individual and family therapy to an assigned caseload.
- Develop and implement treatment plans with clinical supervision.
- Complete treatment plans, progress notes, clinical summaries, and other documentation.
- Coordinate care with psychiatrists, partial hospitalization programs, schools, social workers, and other professionals.
- Participate in treatment-team meetings, court proceedings, and agency contacts when clinical expertise is needed.
- Assist with crisis consultation for staff and caregivers.
- Participate in discharge planning and review treatment goals.
- Educate caregivers, legal guardians, and staff about treatment interventions.
- Obtain/maintain managed-care authorization for services.
- Keep current with developments in diagnosis and treatment.
- Complete required trainings and maintain required licensure/certifications.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications
The posting requires:
- Masters degree in a mental-health-related discipline, such as:
Clinical Psychology
- Mental Health Counseling
- Clinical Social Work
- Another clinically related field
- The degree must include clinical practicum/internship experience with children and adolescents , with on-site supervision.
- Online degrees without direct clinical supervision are not accepted.
- At least 1 year of post-masters paid clinical experience with children/adolescents .
Less than one year may require enhanced clinical supervision.
- Training/proficiency in an agency-recognized Evidence-Based Practice , such as:
PCIT
- TF-CBT
- ESFT
- Certification in an evidence-based practice is preferred.
Licensure
An active Pennsylvania clinical license is preferred but not required , including:
- LPC — Licensed Professional Counselor
- LCSW — Licensed Clinical Social Worker
- LMFT — Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, with child/adolescent experience
- Licensed Psychologist
