SUMMARY:
CUA Admissions Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations within the Community Umbrella Agencies (CUAs) and Foster Care Admissions Departments. The Admissions Supervisor directly supervises the CUA Placement Coordinators, CUA Admissions Liaisons, and the Provider Admissions Liaison. The CUA Admissions Supervisor reports directly to the CUA Admissions Director.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Oversees the placement and referral process of CUA and Provider
- Oversees the continuous maintenance, tracking, and integrity of all CUA and Provider client and foster parent information within an internal database, as well as within the Department of Human Services Philadelphia Family Data System and Placement Verification Application.
- Handles monthly billing discrepancies and fiscal reconciliations with internal agency staff, city and state welfare agencies including the Department of Human Services, and other social service providers; Responsible for ensuring 100% of billing reconciliations are completed for funding/contractual purposes with DHS
- Implements changes to comply with all Foster Care and CUA program policies and procedures to meet federal, state, and local requirements, and accepted social service principles and practices
- Utilizes internal and external databases to analyze effectiveness of current Foster Care/Intake related processes and organizational components; recommends changes on the basis of these analyses; trains and assists staff in use of the databases
- Plans, reviews, evaluates and manages the activities of the Admissions staff overseeing a variety of referral, placement and/or adoptive functions; monitors, reviews, and analyzes daily operations and services provided for adherence to program goals utilizing performance outcome data and reports; focuses staff attention on agency and unit goals
- Oversees the communication and service delivery of subordinate staff between the Department of Human Services Central Referral Unit, social service providers, individuals, families, foster parents, and other city/state-wide agencies
- Proactively manages placement and referral admissions, accurate service entry, and other various data and billing discrepancies to achieve desired outcomes within prescribed timeframes consistent with regulatory and departmental policies and procedures
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Masters degree in Social Work or related field
- Minimum two years experience in child welfare services.
- Strong analytical, project management and communication skills.
- Strong working knowledge of computer applications.
- Knowledge of social work values and/or child welfare services
- Valid, timely Child Abuse, Criminal History, and FBI clearances that meet all regulatory requirements.
- Good oral and written communications skills in English.
- Basic familiarity with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel. Ability to learn and effectively operate other software packages as needed and required.
