Interim Corporate Counsel

Major, Lindsey & Africa’s Interim Legal Talent group has an immediate need for an Interim Corporate Attorney to assist on all corporate governance, M&A, financing and capitalization matters, and employment matters
Overview :  Major, Lindsey & Africa is seeking an In-House Corporate Attorney
Company: A Consumer-Packaged Goods Company
Experience:   At least 5-8+ Years of Experience handling Employee Relations matters at an In-House Corporation.
Location:    NYC Hybrid (2-3 days per week in office ideal).
Responsibilities Include:

Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on a broad range of commercial agreements, including:

SaaS agreements
Software licensing agreements
Vendor and procurement agreements
Professional services agreements
Technology and data-related contracts

Provide legal support to the Technology, IT, Security, People, and Finance organizations.
Partner with internal stakeholders to identify practical, business-focused legal solutions while appropriately managing risk.
Support general corporate legal matters, including governance, internal policies, and day-to-day legal counseling.
Assist with M&A, strategic transactions, integrations, and other corporate projects as business needs arise.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and outside counsel as necessary.

Qualifications:

J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
Approximately 5-8 years of legal experience , with substantial experience in:

Commercial transactions
Technology agreements
Corporate legal matters

Meaningful in-house legal experience strongly preferred.
Experience advising on privacy, data protection, cybersecurity, AI, and technology-related legal issues preferred.
Exposure to mergers and acquisitions, strategic transactions, or corporate development initiatives is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to manage workload independently with limited supervision.
Strong business judgment, communication skills, and practical problem-solving abilities.
