As an Administrative Support Assistant, you will provide executive-level administrative and logistical support to Directorate-level offices. You will
coordinate a variety of administrative activities, manage office operations and scheduling, and provide support to leadership to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the organization.

Duties

Provide executive level administrative and logistical support to Directorate level offices.
Utilize Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office 365 applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams) to create, edit, manage, share, and collaborate on documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and other business resources.
Manage executive calendars, coordinate and schedule meetings and briefings, secure alternate representatives with another official when appropriate, and secure meeting location.
Attend and provide administrative support for meetings, as appropriate.
Review and draft correspondence, recommendations, reports, and memoranda related to management and administrative concerns in compliance with policies and procedures.
Handle day-to-day administrative responsibilities for the Directorate management and staff, such as directing phone calls, receiving and greeting visitors, sorting and distributing incoming mail, and maintaining files and records.
Oversee subordinate administrative support staff, communicating updates and providing guidance, ensuring consistency in center processes and administrative services.
Create and/or maintain the organizational distribution lists for the Directorate.
Requirements

This position is open to U.S. citizens, nationals or those who owe allegiance to the U.S.
This position may require a one-year probationary period. If selected, the requirement to serve such period will be determined by Title 5 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 11. **See Additional Information section**
Current Federal employees must meet qualifications, time in grade, and 90 days after competitive appointment requirements by the closing date of the announcement.
Position subject to pre-employment background investigation or higher-level clearance. Investigation/Clearance may differ and be required based on the duty location/NASA Center requirements.
Financial Disclosure, Drug Testing, and/or the Travel Requirements for this position may differ and be required based on the duty location/NASA Center requirements.
Qualifications

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.

GS-08: To qualify for the GS-08, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level:

Providing administrative and logistical support, including managing calendars, coordinating meetings and briefings, and arranging meeting logistics;
Utilizing Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office 365 applications to create, edit, manage, share, and collaborate on documents, spreadsheets, presentations, correspondence, and other business resources;
Providing administrative support for meetings and preparing, reviewing, and drafting correspondence, reports, memoranda, recommendations, and other administrative documents for management.
