Part-Time Clinical Research Coordinator

Job Title: Part-Time Clinical Research Coordinator Lake Forest, CA (Contract) Job Description This Clinical Research Coordinator role supports a busy research site by managing key aspects of a Pneumococcal clinical trial, including patient recruitment, pre-screening, data entry, and query resolution. You will play a central part in ensuring that clinical trial data is accurate, complete, and compliant with regulatory standards while maintaining clear communication about the study and patient backgrounds. Responsibilities

- Collect and accurately enter clinical trial data into the designated systems and databases.
- Review source documents and patient information to ensure completeness and accuracy before data entry.
- Resolve data queries promptly by clarifying discrepancies and updating records as needed.
- Conduct pre-screening of potential patients to determine eligibility for the clinical trial.
- Support recruitment efforts by identifying and engaging appropriate patients for the study.
- Speak with patients and site staff about the clinical trial and patient experience in a clear and professional manner.
- Perform ongoing patient follow-up activities in accordance with study protocols and timelines.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and site procedures, including adherence to HIPAA and GCP guidelines.
- Collaborate with the research team to ensure smooth site operations and timely completion of trial-related tasks.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all activities to support audit readiness and data integrity.

Essential Skills

- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Clinical Research Coordinator.
- At least 2 years of clinical data entry experience in a research or healthcare setting.
- Hands-on experience with patient pre-screening for clinical trials.
- Proficiency in clinical data entry and maintaining accurate patient records.
- Experience with recruitment activities for clinical research studies.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Training in HIPAA regulations and patient privacy requirements.
- Training in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective verbal communication skills for discussing clinical trials and patient experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Prior experience working at a clinical research site on interventional trials.
- Ability to review and interpret medical and clinical documentation for eligibility and data accuracy.
- Comfort with speaking to patients and staff about study procedures and expectations.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple patients and trial-related tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical and research teams.
- Strong time management skills to meet protocol-driven deadlines and milestones.

Work Environment This position operates in a clinical research site setting working 15-20 hours per week during normal business hours. The environment is fast paced and requires a high level of attention to detail, accuracy, and adherence to regulatory standards. You will work with electronic medical records and clinical trial data systems, collaborating closely with clinical and research staff in a professional office and clinical environment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
