Custodian Job Description:
PrideStaff is working with a large manufacturing facility in search of an experienced Custodian. The Custodian performs work that requires knowledge in janitorial services, including sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, disinfecting, and restroom cleaning. Requires good communication skills, knowledge of various cleaning products and their appropriate uses, and the ability to clean and disinfect various surfaces. Must have the ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds, good organizational skills, knowledge of safety guidelines when working with chemical cleaners, and excellent time-management skills to complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision. The Custodian is a full-time, temp to hire position in Brooklyn Park, MN.
Custodian Job Responsibilities:
Complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
Notify supervisors or managers of major repairs needed.
Clean the interior of buildings including floors, carpet, rugs, windows, and walls.
Disinfect commonly touched items like desks, door handles, office handles, and phones.
Maintain cleaning inventory.
Empty trash and recycling bins.
Stock and maintain common supply areas.
Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
Clean and maintain restrooms.
Wash and clean windows and mirrors.
Notify supervisors of unsafe conditions.
Operate floor scrubbers and other cleaning equipment.
Dust furniture and fixtures.

Custodian Job Requirements & Working Conditions:
Ability to manage time efficiently and work well when supervisors are not present.
Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
Ability to perform basic maintenance, cleaning, and other janitorial work.
Ability to work safely with a variety of cleaning supplies and use basic cleaning equipment.
Work Experience
One year of experience performing basic custodial tasks.
Education
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education/experience
