PrideStaff on behalf of a client located in Fort Lauderdale is looking for an experienced and professional Quality Control Inspector to be part of this great team
Responsibilities:
Perform in-process and final inspections using precision instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, borescopes) to verify aircraft component dimensions, condition, and airworthiness. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, engineering publications, CMMs, SBs, ADs, SILs, and OEM data to define inspection scope. Identify discrepancies, verify component configurations, and evaluate trace documentation to detect unapproved parts. Audit maintenance documentation and travelers for accuracy and completeness prior to return-to-service (RTS) approval. Maintain clear, accurate inspection logs, entry records, and discrepancy reports in electronic maintenance systems. Ensure strict adherence to 14 CFR Part 145, Part 21, Part 43, and the FAA-approved Repair Station / Quality Control Manual. Communicate inspection outcomes and discrepancy findings to technicians, department leads, and management. Mentor and guide technicians and peer inspectors while collaborating with planning teams to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Perform physical inspection activities, including lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, bending, climbing, and maneuvering into tight spaces within chemical and noise-controlled environments.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma, or equivalent required. Valid & Current FAA Airframe & Powerplant, or Powerplant certification. Minimum 18 months of practical experience using various inspection methods or techniques. Minimum 5 years performing similar duties for a Repair Station or maintenance facility. Have extensive knowledge of airworthiness requirements and approval for return to service.
