Technician AM Shift

Job Title: Mechanical Assembler Job Description We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling complex assemblies and subassemblies, ensuring they meet specifications and tolerances. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to interpret technical documents. Responsibilities

- Read and interpret blueprints, process instructions, schematics, mechanical drawings, pictures, and diagrams.
- Assemble parts and units using hand tools and power tools.
- Inspect, test, and adjust completed units to ensure they meet specifications and tolerances.
- Position, align, fasten, and adjust components for proper fit and function.
- Connect cables, tubing, and wiring according to specifications.
- Disassemble units to replace parts or prepare equipment for shipment.
- Measure parts using precision instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and verniers.
- Operate assembly equipment, robotics, and fixed automation equipment.
- Operate small crane systems to safely move components.
- Conduct product testing and inspections.
- Monitor gauges and indicators.
- Troubleshoot operating issues.
- Perform routine maintenance and basic equipment repairs.

Essential Skills

- Mechanical assembly and electromechanical assembly experience.
- Proficient in reading schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to use precision instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and verniers.
- Experience with hand tools and power tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Hands-on assembly experience, not just machine operation.
- Experience with complex assemblies, not repetitive assembly line work.
- Ability to move between multiple assembly stations and learn different aspects of the process.
- Understanding of manufacturing terminology such as countersinks, tolerances, and alignment.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Somerset, NJ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45000.00 - $58000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
