CAD Designer/Drafter

Job Title: CAD Designer/Drafter Job Description We are seeking a talented CAD Designer/Drafter to join our team in creating aerospace part drawings and composite layups for a client in the area. The required candidate will have experience with NX and be skilled in drafting and creating product drawings. This exciting project involves drafting parts for a 12-15k lb VTOL, dual-use, unmanned aircraft (UAS/UAV) and is expected to last for approximately 4-6 months but could open up to additional projects. Responsibilities

- Create fuselage and detailed drawings for UAS parts based on models.
- Define drawings of composite parts to provide specifications for layup and assembly.
- Revise previous designs, making necessary changes and edits using SolidWorks and NX.

Essential Skills

- Proficiency in CAD and SolidWorks, as well as demonstrated usage of NX.
- Experience in drafting and design in the aerospace industry.
- Experience in product design and supporting mechanical engineering teams.
- Ability to work with composites, metallics, and various fasteners.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Experience with composites is strongly preferred and will distinguish candidates.
- Engineers with a few years of experience and NX knowledge are potential candidates, as long as they are good focusing on CAD-centric work duties.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
