PrideStaff - Greenville is seeking a motivated, quality-focused Welder / Fabricator for an industry-leading precision metal fabrication client in the Duncan, SC area .

In this dynamic position, you won't be doing the exact same repetitive task every day. You will work with MIG and TIG welding, square tubing, and custom metal frames for high-tech automation equipment. Additionally, our client will fully train you to operate their modern tube-cutting laser, expanding your technical skills beyond traditional welding.

Welder / Fabricator Primary Responsibilities include:
Your main responsibility is the accurate measurement, cutting, fitting, and welding of custom metal structures , ensuring finished automation components meet exact blueprint specifications. MIG & TIG Welding: Perform high-quality MIG welding (and TIG as required) on square tubing, structural frames, and custom fabricated assemblies. Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and shop schematics to turn raw materials into finished products. Layout & Fit-Up: Accurately measure, cut, align, fit, and assemble metal components using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments. Tube Laser Operation: Learn and operate state-of-the-art tube-cutting laser machinery through comprehensive, company-provided training. Quality Verification: Inspect your own welds and assemblies for dimensional accuracy, proper fit, and high-standard craftsmanship. Safety & Housekeeping: Follow all workplace safety policies and quality procedures while maintaining a clean, organized, and audit-ready work cell.

Welder / Fabricator Requirements include: Required Experience: 1–3+ years of MIG welding and/or metal fabrication experience in a manufacturing environment. Technical & Math Skills: Proven ability to read basic engineering blueprints/fabrication drawings, with solid shop math skills (including fractions and precise measurements). Computer Literacy: Basic computer skills, including experience with MS Word or digital shop tracking. Growth Mindset: Strong willingness and mechanical aptitude to learn advanced equipment operations (like tube-cutting lasers and CNC machinery). Physical Capabilities: Physical stamina to stand, bend, manipulate hand tools, and maneuver heavy metal materials throughout a full shift plus overtime. Preferred Experience: TIG welding experience, structural frame/square tubing fabrication, or prior exposure to laser-cutting/CNC equipment is a major plus! Reliability: Dependable attendance, strong attention to detail, and a collaborative team attitude.
