Senior Specialist, Inventory Control & Quality Assurance

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Senior Specialist, Inventory Control & QA on a permanent basis on our Supply Chain team.

This position is a hybrid opportunity and can based in Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Calgary or Edmonton .

We’re looking for a strategic and analytical inventory control leader to establish and manage a centre-led inventory control and quality assurance function across our distribution network, driving consistent standards, accurate inventory, and strong governance. This is an opportunity to shape network-wide practices, leverage data and WMS capabilities, and lead continuous improvement initiatives that improve operational performance, cost efficiency, and overall business profitability.

What you’ll do:

- Establish and maintain network-wide inventory control policies, standards, and governance frameworks, ensuring consistent processes and compliance across all distribution centres. Oversee adjustment controls, approval thresholds, and inventory control standards to drive accuracy, consistency, and accountability.
- Own and monitor network-wide inventory accuracy by defining KPIs, developing reporting frameworks, and leveraging WMS data to drive visibility and accountability. Lead continuous improvement efforts to strengthen inventory accuracy, auditability, and financial integrity.
- Design and govern network-wide cycle count programs, establishing effective scheduling frameworks and methodologies. Oversee inventory adjustments and approvals to ensure compliance with established controls and thresholds while enabling consistent execution across regional teams.
- Lead network-level analytics to identify inventory trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement. Develop and implement initiatives that reduce shrink, excess, and obsolete inventory while delivering measurable operational and financial improvements.
- Develop and implement standardized training, audit, and quality assurance practices to ensure compliance and capability across distribution centres. Serve as a central partner to Operations, Finance, and IT, driving alignment, knowledge transfer, and sustained adoption of inventory control best practices.

Who you’ll work with:
The Team: You will guide others by establishing clear standards, providing data driven insights and influencing stakeholders across the network to adopt consistent inventory control practices. They will coach, train and oversee regional teams to ensure alignment with policies and performance expectations. Work is performed independently, and you will report into the Senior Manager, Distribution Centre Optimization.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Supply Chain and :

- Have 3-6 years of progressive experience in warehousing and/or supply chain operations, and a proven track record in process standardization, analytic and continuous improvement.
- Have a Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business or an equivalent combination of education or directly related experience (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
- Training or certification in Lean, Six Sigma or business process improvement is considered an asset.
- Experience with Warehouse Technology (WMS) is considered an asset.
