Full-Time Fresh Clerk II (Chester's)

Discovery Co-operative is hiring a Full-Time Fresh Clerk II (Chester’s) at Territorial Gas Bar located in North Battleford, SK.

What you’ll do:
Reporting to the Territorial Gas Bar Manager, you will have the following responsibilities:
• Responsible to provide an exceptional level of customer service and maintain a safe and efficient operation while adhering to all Discovery Co-op, industry, and governmental policies, procedures, and standards, including meeting established productivity standards.
• Responsible for the safe handling and preparation of raw and/or cooked chicken for Chester’s Chicken menu items in the C-Store, including cleaning, cutting/trimming, displaying, pricing, packaging and serving customers.
• Performs receiving, opening, and closing procedures as required.
• Performs general housekeeping duties, assisting team members when necessary, and any other duties as assigned.
• Provides support to Management with daily supervision responsibilities in alignment with Discovery Co-op policies and procedures that fosters a positive work environment enabling the engagement of all team members.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Customer Service and:
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Grade 12 or Equivalent.
• Previous supervisory experience in a kitchen/deli preferred.
• 1-2 years food preparation experience required.
• Co-operative retail experience is an asset.
• Safe Food Handling Certificate will be required upon hire.
• Must be comfortable working with different types of equipment such as scales, knives, pricing equipment, step ladders, etc.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, have good manual dexterity and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work regularly in cooler temperatures due to products in department.
• Must be able to work around hot temperatures associated with the preparation of hot foods.
• You must be available to work days, evenings and weekends
