Red Chris is an open-pit copper-gold mine in the famous Golden Triangle of northern British Columbia, situated on the traditional territory of the Tahltan Nation. As a fly-in, fly-out operation, Red Chris is reached via charter flights from multiple locations in BC and Alberta, with teams working on a rotational schedule. Currently an active open-pit producer, Red Chris is poised for an exciting transformation – we are developing a high-value underground block cave that will extend the mine’s life for decades and unlock even more resources. The remote location fosters a close-knit “camp” community where safety and teamwork come first. ##### About the Project

Red Chris is a gold and copper mine located in Tahltan Territory, northern British Columbia. The mine has been in operation since 2015 and has been operated by Newmont since 2023. It is now transitioning from open pit to underground block caving, an innovative method that extends mine life while reducing environmental impact. This transition will create new, technically advanced roles and opportunities to work alongside global experts.

##### Your Impact

We are looking for an Officer Document Control to join our Red Chris Block Cave team.

In this role, you will coordinate, implement and maintain document control processes to help ensure project documentation meets established quality standards and procedures. You will play an important role in maintaining accurate, controlled and accessible project information, supporting document quality and helping project teams meet critical deadlines.

##### As Part of Our Team, You Will

- Maintain accurate document filing and archiving while ensuring document confidentiality.
- Respond to document retrieval requests and ensure project information is accessible to the appropriate stakeholders.
- Monitor document records to maintain effective revision control and ensure required reviews are completed.
- Support document audits by collating required documentation and conducting regular document reviews.
- Implement document control protocols and provide guidance on document control procedures.
- Collaborate with engineering, contracts/commercial and procurement teams, as well as external contractors and vendors, to coordinate document updates and support project requirements.

##### Requirements for Success in This Role

- Proficiency in Aconex, with practical knowledge of document control systems, processes and protocols.
- Experience supporting document control on large, multidisciplinary projects and working with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Intermediate proficiency in SharePoint, Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail, adaptability and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a changing project environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across disciplines while maintaining document control, revision control and confidentiality requirements.

##### Your Work Environment

This is a two-year fixed-term position, working 40 hours per week, with the opportunity to work remotely. The successful candidate will be expected to work hours aligned with the Western Canadian team.
