Boddington is a flagship Newmont gold and copper operation in Western Australia, located about 130 kilometres south-east of Perth and 16 kilometres from the rural town of Boddington. ##### Your Contribution
As a Superintendent - Mine Planning, 3rd Party interactions, you'll manage the Boddington operation’s interactions with WAJV’s mining activities, helping protect operational requirements and meet bauxite conservation obligations. You’ll coordinate planning, infrastructure, land and material matters while supporting safe and effective mining operations.
##### As Part of Our Team, You Will
- Lead the development of safe work plans and procedures, and participate in relevant audits, risk reviews and investigations.
- Manage interactions with WAJV, including plans and budgets for infrastructure movements and measures to reduce impacts on Boddington operations.
- Prepare and assess bauxite mining and stockpiling plans that support conservation obligations and site objectives.
- Coordinate bauxite conservation activities, including reporting, transaction records, procedures and drilling requirements.
- Negotiate and coordinate infrastructure, materials and land-use matters, while facilitating meetings and solutions across WAJV, Mine Technical Services, Mine Operations, Sustaining Capital Projects, Mill Operations, Finance, planning functions, corporate teams, business partners and contractors.
##### Prerequisites for Success in This Role
- A degree in Mine Engineering or a related field, together with extensive post-graduate experience.
- Experience in mine and infrastructure planning, project management and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience using mine-planning and project-scheduling software.
- Experience interpreting and organising legal agreements to translate obligations into operational requirements.
- Strong analytical, report-writing and relationship-management skills, with familiarity across business systems and standard office applications.
##### Your Work Environment
- Based at Newmont’s Boddington operation on a 5:2:4:3 roster.
- Work within an Operations and Mine Technical Services environment focused on maintaining and optimising existing mining systems and infrastructure.
- Collaborate across operational, technical, planning, project, finance and corporate functions, as well as with business partners and contractors.
- Lead, coach and mentor engineers while contributing to a positive and productive working environment.
- Support an environment where all unsafe work is stopped.
